Wolf Legends

As with wolves, one finds, maybe once in a lifetime, a love that surpasses the boundries of love its self. When two hearts meet and meld into a single beat of time, life takes on a new meaning for those whose hearts are joined. And wonder of wonders, life seems new again.

Love can make you feel young or can make you feel old. In the scheme of things we sometimes have no choice. Why do we choose a certain wolf and not another to love? That age-old question will probably never be answered. But, nevertheless, it changes our thoughts forever.
Like the wolf, we howl in delight or w
himper in despair, depending on how the love is going. With the happiness will come the sadness but we always need to voice our emotions.
Life isn't always perfect but love can make it seem that way. Or love can make life seems like forever, a never
ending struggle. It is up to you to make life and love the joyous thing it should be and not a doomed existence.

Think about that!

For the wolf in my life, the one who gave me so much help and love, I want you to know.....
If I could only love you as you need love...
If I could only touch you as you need touched.....
If I could only say the words that are in my heart tonight about my need for you....
If I could only.....but words just won't do....

Wolf  Song:   A Tale of Love

The Indian looked out over the dusty plains. In the distance he saw a cloud forming. As the cloud came closer he saw that it was taking the form of his totem. So he sat down and began his chant. The cloud now in the form of a wolf desended upon the Indian. The Indian rose slowly and began to walk towards the great forest. He traveled for days, stopping only to eat and sleep. When at last he came into a clearing in the forest, he sat by a tree. The forest was burnt from a wild fire but the Indian knew this was the appointed place and so he began his chant. A white dove appeared above his head, sitting on a branch, watching. Soon other forest creatures appeared and gathered round him, each showing respect in their own humble way. And so the Indian chanted on and on. Many days passed and the Indian lay prone and dying, for he had neither ate nor drank since he had begun the chant. A lone shadow in the distance was making its way toward him. A she wolf it was. The animals round the dying Indian let out a collective gasp and moved back towards the safety of the forest. But each stayed close enough to watch the coming event. The she wolf walked slowly to the Indian and leaned down to sniff him. Then she licked the side of his face and lay down beside him to wait. The Indian gave a last gasp and died. From the dead Indian rose a form in the shape of a wolf. A great male wolf he was, too. The dove flew off and the animals blended back into the forest again. The male and female wolf nuzzled each other and walked away. They knew they would be together again as they had once been together as humans. The death of the human female caused the Indian to set out on this journey. His totem let them continue their love in another life, in another place, in another form.

THE PASSING

Walking tall as One, but One,
into the night You travel on,
until that someone comes along.
They take the Heart of Thee to keep,
it becomes safely tucked within their palms.
She has His Heart,
He has Hers.
Their Hearts and Souls become as One.
into the darkness ahead They travel on,
through the storms ahead to come.
then sadness hits but One you see.
The passing on of One into a land of better sight,
the land of magical spirits and golden dreams.
Thee once again travel as One into the darkness ahead.
With the loss of their Heart,
as it left with the One Thee loved.
The day arrives and darkness falls
and glory be it that you once again travel Two as One.
A Spirit reborn into the land of dreams to be.
